To contribute to a greener environment, reuse and recycle red packet (“Lai See”) can help reduce unnecessary paper wastage. According to the estimates of Greeners Action in 2013, Hong Kongers use approximately 320 million red packets every year, meaning that roughly 16,300 trees were cut off.
Organized by HSEO and Green Trekker Program, students and staff in UST can can now drop off their new or used red packets in the collection boxes (below locations) which will be sent to NGO for processing as “re-born packets” for reuse.
