Internship Scheme - Sustainable Revitalisation for Rural Communities in Hong Kong (2016-2017)

The Faculty of Social Sciences of The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in collaboration with Hong Kong Countryside Foundation, Produce Green Foundation, the Conservancy Association and Lai Chi Wo village have put together a multi-year rural revitalisation programme (The Programme) in a traditional local Hakka village, Lai Chi Wo. The Programme attempts to achieve community revitalization and environmental enhancement through farming, training, education and lifestyle change. There have been active agricultural, habitat management and community development activities covering about 6 hectares of land area in Lai Chi Wo. These activities provides a wide range of training and education opportunities in Lai Chi Wo and the nearby areas to young leaders, volunteers, school teachers and students, corporate members, NGOs as well as the wider Hong Kong community.

The organizer is now recruiting a team of interns to help in the Programme’s activities and participant in the internship scheme. To further enhance the understanding of the Scheme, a briefing session will be organized on 27 October 2016 at 6:30pm, CPD LG.07, Centennial Campus, The University of Hong Kong.  Interested students can fill in the on-line enrollment form before 25 October:
