HK Tertiary Schools COP21 Challenge 2015

In November 2015, Hong Kong Secretary of the Environment, Mr. KS Wong, will join delegates from all over the world in Paris at “COP21” - the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change 21st Conference of the Parties to discuss global solutions to climate change.

Do you have creative ideas and solutions you’d like to share with Secretary Wong?

Then please join the HK Tertiary Schools COP21 Challenge 2015, which aims to bring out the creativity and innovation of Hong Kong students to solve climate change issues.

Joining is simple:

Stage OneStudents from all Hong Kong tertiary schools are invited to form teams and design a short video (maximum length 3-minutes) addressing “How Can Hong Kong Become a Model in Addressing Climate Change Issues?” 8-10 teams will be selected to continue to the second round.

Stage TwoSelected students will join an intensive two-day, overnight “Design Thinking” workshop to focus on developing feasible solutions to a specific climate change issue facing Hong Kong. The workshop will conclude with a presentation by students for the Secretary for the Environment, Mr. KS Wong.

When does it take place?
Stage 1: Video Submission Deadline is midnight on 11 October, with results posted by 20 October
Stage 2: Saturday 31 October through Sunday 1 November at HKU Kadoorie Centre, Shek Kong, NT
