Zero Carbon Building Conference “Decarbonising High-rise Buildings in Subtropical and High Density Cities”

Hong Kong, characterised by its sub-tropical climate and extremely high density living environment, faces unique challenges in reducing carbon emissions from buildings and in particular, high-rise buildings. Accounting for 90% of electricity consumption and 60% of greenhouse gas emissions, buildings in Hong Kong pose both a significant opportunity and challenge to achieving the carbon reduction target.

The main objective of Zero Carbon Building Conference “Decarbonising High-rise Buildings in Subtropical and High Density Cities”  will be for renowned international and local experts to share knowledge with the local audience and offer insights into future needs for decarbonising high-rise buildings in subtropical and high density cities. Collateral topics such as contexts, policies, market, technology, human factors, and so on, will also be examined and discussed.
