PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN MEAL BOXES FOR TAKEAWAYS! SAY NO TO PLASTIC DISPOSABLES!

Did you know -

Hong Kong disposes 5.2 Million of plastic bottles every day?*

Your takeaway box can be in the ocean forever?*

It all starts with you. Let’s join hands to reduce plastic waste by participating in the “Meal Boxes Go Green” campaign!

Bring your own reusable container for buying takeaway meals at participating campus canteens** and collect stamps from 24 September – 28 December, 2018.

Rewards are of your choice!

Individual challenge:

Collect 10 stamps and enter 3 lucky draws to win

$500 Supermarket or $500 Starbucks coupon


Collect 30 stamps and enter 2 lucky draws to win

Fitbit or $1000 supermarket coupon or $1000 Starbucks coupon 

Each individual can submit as many stamped cards as possible.

Team challenge:
Form a team of 3 by 31 October!

The team who collects the most number of stamps will be rewarded a delicious lunch, worth HK $500 at

G/F Chinese Restaurant or Conference Lodge

Each individual can only enroll in ONE team, and can join Individual Challenge as well.

Stamp collection period:  24 September – 28 December, 2018

Submit the stamped card: Sustainability Unit (Room 2004, lift 4).

Rewards will be announced in January 2019***

HKUST, provides quite a few places for students and staff to wash their reusable meal boxes.

**Participating canteens include Coffee Shop (LTE Food Booth) LG1 Restaurant, LG7 (Asia Pacific Catering, Gold Rice Bowl Delicious Food, Milano Fresh), LSK Business Building Maxim’s Restaurant, Seafront Cafeteria. Stamp cards can be picked up at canteen cashier counters or can be printed from this website.
